Burn Ban in Effect

All category 2 and category 3 open burns are prohibited until further notice.

The Fire Chief has banned all yard burns and machine burns to protect community members who may have breathing difficulties during the COVID-19 outbreak.

• Category 2 includes:
  • A small pile of material to burn
  • No larger than 2 m high x 3 m wide
  • Can be stacked by hand
  • Requires a BIM Burning Permit
• Category 3 includes:
  • A larger pile of material to burn
  • Larger than 2 m high x 3 m wide
  • Requires a BIM Burning Permit
  • Requires a site visit from the Fire Chief
